Snowden Place

Meet the Team

Jim Busby
Jason Hons

Mobile entrepreneur, Jim Busby and builder Jason Hons have partnered to develop Snowden Place, a unique, private, gated community in west Mobile. Snowden Place is located on 13.5 acres - formerly the location of Busby's family residence - on Cottage Hill Road, near Hillcrest Road. Snowden Place is perfectly located for comfortable, secure, convenient living in the heart of West Mobile. Busby, Chairman and COO of CentraLite Systems, has nearly 40 years of experience bringing great ideas to life. A graduate of the University of Alabama and founder of QMS, Inc., Busby envisions Snowden Place as a tranquil, amenity-laden community tucked inside the family-oriented west side of the city. "There's nothing like this location," Busby said. "It's city living, but very private."

With over 35 years of experience in the Gulf Coast home building business, Hons Builders has built a solid reputation as one of the Mobile Bay area's finest custom home builders. Jason Hons grew up in the business, and has been his dad's best helper since he was 12. Like his father, he did every task required to raise a house - from pouring the slab, to framing, to roofing, to doing the trim carpentry. Jason has the practical knowledge, skill and experience necessary to deliver the highest quality, custom home for the most discriminating buyer. "If you haven't roofed a house, if you haven't poured a slab, how can you tell if your subs are doing it right? Experience." This experience is what gives the company its versatility - and also the knowledge required to pick the best subcontractors who know how to do things right." After 35 years in Mobile custom homes, we know who the good subcontractors are. We've become the builder that builders look up to. By that, I mean that area builders come to us to get their subs. They know we've found the very best and have instilled in them we expect them to do it the right way the first time. It's one reason we can offer such a complete warranty plan. We get it right the first time."
